100 Years of Music in Cortland
March 18, 2007

East End Community Center
46 Elm Street, Cortland, NY

The story of "One Hundred Years of Music in Cortland" was told at the East End Community Center, 46 Elm St. in Cortland, 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18.

Presenters included local experts Sam Forcucci, Mary Ann Kane and Jim Pantas. The program highlighted the many talented and interesting people whose stories make up the musical history of Cortland, from the Opera House performers of the late 1800's, through the tumultuous years of the 1960's and 1970's.

In preparation for the event, the Cortland Youth Bureau is asking people who have memorabilia related to the Cortland music story, circa 1880 - 1980 , to consider loaning these items to the Youth Bureau to be part of a display at the East End Community Center as a prelude to the program. For more information, contact the Bureau at 753-3021.
